We are thrilled to announce that our founder and executive director, Dominique Viel, has been nominated for an award with RARE Champions of Hope, as an Individual Champion in Advocacy.
To give you background on the awards, Global Genes states:
“The RARE Champions of Hope Awards celebrate, honor and recognize those in the rare disease community who are raising the bar through their innovative approaches to research, programming and advocacy to create meaningful impact in the rare disease space. Awardees are beacons of hope in the rare disease community who lean in, take risks and lead collaborative efforts to positively impact the lives of rare disease patients, caregivers and families across the globe.”
These awards are with the nonprofit, Global Genes, and they do amazingly stellar work as they are committed to providing information, resources and connections to all communities affected by rare diseases. This is something that InvisiYouth is passionate about, so for founder Dominique to be recognized by the community means so much.
She was nominated for the RARE Champion in Advocacy (Individual) which is an award that recognizes an individual that’s a rare disease patient or advocacy (which Dominique is both!) who has created innovative programming that supports, educates and empowers their communities in impactful ways.
Please root on Dominique to see if she wins the award, and support all the other nonprofit organizations, advocates and individuals that are being nominated and celebrated for the incredible work they are doing all year long for this incredible rare disease community.
